Rules and Divisions

With each event, we receive and evaluate feedback from judges, competitors, coaches, parents, studio owners, and other members of the Aerialympics community. The Competitor Packet is updated to reflect changes and clarifications stemming from that feedback. Please make sure that your packet is the most current version.

Major changes were made for Season 12. Here is a high-level list of changes. Carefully read the Competitor Packet to make sure you understand the current rules.

• Reorganized sections.

• Updated Codes of Conduct.

• Updated pricing.

• Simplified division rules.

• Modified age divisions, including combining levels of different ages to create divisions where applicable.

• Added schedule of events.

• Modified time rule to be more specific to time and less specific to the length of music.

• Modified music rule to put the responsibility for lyrics on the coach and performer and not reserve music.

• Modified prop rule to put the responsibility for props on the coach and performer and not pre-approve props.

• Strengthened music rules related to minor children.

• Updated qualifying for Nationals.

• Modified year-end awards.

• Added team program requirements.

• Removed requirement to start and end on the ground.
